Nokia World 2011

Event background:

Nokia World is Nokia’s biggest annual event, where the company showcases its latest products, services, design and research innovations. Running since 2006, the 2-day event brings together over 4000 thousand visitors, including journalists, analysts, operators, developers, partners and Nokia employees. The speakers are the crème de la crème of the mobile world: Nokia’s leaders, experts, partners and other stakeholders.

 

EC Events Expertise:

Working with Juice Live, EC Events headed up the logistics of the whole project providing venue finding, theming & entertainment, branding & creative, budget management, onsite management, press liaison and managing the event team. EC Events approach every event knowing it’s unique and will need a tailored approach. With an events team in place at Juice Live, EC Events were tasked with managing the team to achieve specific aspects of the event where our expertise was needed.

Free venue finding, for 4000 attendees:

With a large-scale event, finding a suitable venue can be a challenge, however with our knowledge, expertise and relationships, we soon had the ExCel Exhibition Centre, London booked. 

With 4000 attendees at Nokia World, an efficient, well-organised and clear process was needed to manage the pre-event and onsite registration process. EC Events created the registration form, managed the database and regular communications to confirmed attendees. A critical piece of managing the process for this event centred around the attendee access, as each group of guests from journalists to employees were able to visit specific areas of the event via their personalised access.

 

Entertaining a varied audience:

With a varied audience, the theming & entertainment required over the 2 days called for something special. Working with Juice Live, we sourced a roster of entertainment including British street dance troupe Diversity, an eclectic mix of buskers to welcome guests on arrival and a mind-blowing 3D floor artist.

 

In the spotlight:

With Nokia showcasing their cutting-edge technology, a key objective of the Nokia World event is to achieve maximum press coverage. EC Events worked alongside the press and media attendees including the news and tech-specific journalists from the BBC, ITV and Channel 4, ensuring appropriate access and information was provided in an efficient, professional and timely way.
